How to Apply for Funding

Grant requests are considered from nonprofit, charitable organizations that are tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the IRS Code.  To be considered for a grant, your organization should submit the following information:

A proposal limited to 4 pages describing the proposed project.  The proposal should include the following information:

  • Name and address of the organization
  • Contact name, title and phone number
  • Geographic area and people served
  • Need for the project
  • Goals and Objectives
  • Activities to be undertaken
  • Changes or improvements that will result
  • Line item budget identifying projected expenses and income
  • Funding sources committed and those approached
  • Other nonprofit or public partners for the project/work
  • Evaluation plans or how the results will be measured


  • Copy of organization letter of tax exempt status from the IRS
  • Most recent financial statement
  • List of board of directors of the organization
