Grants are made to:
- Programs that impact the Birmingham metro area
- Programs that impact the Black Belt area in Alabama
- Programs that impact the State of Alabama as a whole or influence policy change at the state level
Funding Guildelines
What the foundation does not fund:
- Organizations outside the Greater Birmingham area
- Individuals
- Sponsorships, fundraising events or conferences
- Research
- Endowments or Scholarships
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Political organizations or candidates
- Brick-and-mortar, building projects or renovations
- National or regional organizations, unless all funds are used within state
